I can hardly believe it's been 3 weeks already!

Yes! It's been about 3 weeks since we landed on Monday, June 13th, 2022. Francis resumed work today and I'm taking the opportunity to start documenting all my adventure highlights. There's so much to soak in and I don't need to try to do it all in a 3 week vacation anymore! 

Since landing, we've received the pets and basically unpacked the suitcases. We each got a cell phone plan with NRJ Mobile and we each bought a car (but these are both under his information because I am unable to set up a French bank account yet). This definitely hinders the set up of several convenient things because there are quite a few bits and pieces that rely on having a French bank account so we'll sort that out after I am able to get one set up for me.

I've discovered the following store equivalents (or almost): Lidl -> Grocery Outlet, Carrefour -> Target, Animal & Co -> Petco, Point Vert and Gamm Vert -> Summer Winds (plus some), and (I haven't been yet but) Bricorthe Mon Brico sounds like it'll be similar to Home Depot. It's supposed to be the local "DIY" place and it's still on the list to visit. C'est Deux Euros sounds like it's the same as the CA "dollar stores" and I have yet to really find any thrift shops :( Amazon.fr is *definitely* not as dominant in France as it appears to be in CA. Leboncoin -> Craigslist and that's where I found my car. Thus far, I am most exited about Lidl because they get plant shipments every Tuesday (maybe more often) and they seem to be good quality for about half the price of the other plant places so, I think my plant purchases will mainly be sourced from there.

I'll try to post more often over the next week to catch up and then I'll mainly just be posting to cover the bigger experiences - like going to see 3 more potential homes on Monday!!
